The Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea and Stamford International University have launched the first MBA specialized in Sports Management in Asia. Under this new agreement, signed last Wednesday, May 11, both organizations (members of the Laureate International Universities network) will continue in the line of collaboration began in 2006 to promote the growing role of sports in the world economy.
Just as Emilio Butragueño, director of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, pointed out, this is “a great opportunity for the school to increase its presence in Asia, where sports are taking on an increasingly important role in society.”
Gilles Mage, CEO of Laureate International Universities in Thailand, emphasized how Sports Management “can strengthen Thailand's sports industry, which has grown substantially over the years and has big potential for further growth.”
The program consists of five courses given both full-time and part-time by leaders of the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, offering students the chance to spend a week with the Real Madrid Club de Fútbol in Spain. Once they finishing their training, the students will receive an MBA from Stamford International, a diploma from the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea.
