In 2016, the World Confederation for Physical Therapy granted Universidad Europea partial WCPT accreditation for the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy after a detailed 2-year assessment supervised by the Accreditation Committee. One year later, after once again assessing the annual report submitted by Universidad Europea, the committee has granted full accreditation for the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

This makes the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy the only Bachelor’s Degree in Europe backed by full WCPT accreditation. Only seven universities have this prestigious accreditation worldwide. This new recognition reaffirms the academic quality of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, a program with international recognition and which meets the most demanding educational standards. The Full Accreditation Without Conditions will be valid until June 2020, until it is reviewed again by the WCPT committee.
This recognition coincides with the commitment by the World Confederation for Physical Therapy to give a voice to the academic representatives of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Universidad Europea. So much so that the Annual WCTP Congress, held from July 2-4 in Cape Town (South Africa), was attended by Beatriz Martínez, Director of the Physical Therapy and Sports Department, as a speaker at a round table with other international representatives to discuss the future objectives of this accreditation.
