The ACP Recognizes the Training of Universidad Europea's Graduate Degree in Building

24 jun 2016

The Professional Certification Agency (PCA) recently signed an agreement with Universidad Europea. Now, School of Architecture, Engineering and Design graduate courses are recognized by the PCA to meet the training requirement when applying for professional certification.

For the director of Universidad Europea's Department of Architecture, Engineering and Design, Oscar Liébana, the School has always had an international calling, and the accreditations are a fundamental part of being professional “which requires an independent recognition, like those we already have with NAAB, RICS, MIT, etc.” “Besides helping our students in their careers, it is a recognition of our programs' quality, which is why we will be adapting all our programs so that they can later receive professional accreditation, just like we've done with the BIM Manager program,” he said.

The fact that these graduate programs of the School of Architecture, Engineering and Design are recognized by the PCA is celebrated as one step further within the students' training. For Liébana, “independent accreditations that evaluate training and experience will soon be paramount.” “Given our graduate program's quality, the first part would be accrediting it for our students, since we meet the required content and duration. So we could choose existing accreditations according to experience,” he said.
