05 nov 2018

The Royal Box at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium was the chosen venue, last Friday the 5th of November, for the 13th school year opening for the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea since its establishment in 2006.

The school director, Emilio Butragueño was in charge of welcoming and greeting the 1,500 students from over 50 nationalities that are part of the 13th school year. Butragueño said “One of the challenges of the school is to teach you the main 5 values that represent us and differentiates us from other schools: excellence, leadership, integrity, teamwork and entrepreneurship”.

The opening event of the school year 2018-2019 also included the Universidad Europea’s Dean, Juan Morote, who explained the academic model of the school, and said that it supports “a continued education of the students through the acquisition and development of professional and personal competencies, in order to be successful in the professional world”.

Furthermore, students had the chance to speak to Yaiza Roa, alumi of the Master in Sports Communication and Journalism, who talked the students through what a privilege it was for he, to be part of the school, an educational institution that she describes as “a place that represents the best Real Madrid F.C. values and of sports as a whole”.

Right after the speech, there was an interview between Emilio Butragueño and Álvaro Arbeloa, a former player of the Real Madrid F.C. team, and current ambassador of the team under the motto “Sports as a way of living”. The end of the event was led by Emilio Butragueño, who shared a few motivational words with the students “keep moving forward with your education and make the most of this opportunity to grow not only as professionals but also as people”.
