On September 14, students and teaching staff from the Universidad Europea School of Architecture, Engineering and Design attended the 54th edition of the National Philatelic Exhibition, Exfilna, and the Third European Convention for Collectors. In addition to taking part in the event, held at Sástago Palace in Zaragoza, the Universidad Europea delegation created a giant stamp for the occasion with the face of King Felipe VI using 3D technology.
The Exfilna exhibition, sponsored by Correos, offered all kinds of fun possibilities related to collecting with many different activities. In one room, the Multipurpose Room, you could see the Guinness Record-holding largest mosaic of stamps in the world, among other exhibitions. A piece made using 300,000 stamps that was destroyed after the event.
In addition to this type of exhibition, students and teaching staff from the Universidad Europea showcased the possibilities of 3D technology applied to stamps. In addition to the giant stamp, they presented the machine used to design the large-scale 3D stamp. The Universidad Europea representatives also took advantage of their visit to the event to sign a collaboration agreement with the Royal Spanish Mint.
