A total of seven master’s degrees from Universidad Europea, two more than last year, have been ranked among the best in their field in Spain, according to the most recent list of the best graduate degrees published by El Mundo. The study included a total of 250 of the best master's degrees, selected through an analysis based on 25 criteria, and with the opinion of 800 professors and experts, former students, and partner companies. The results are organized into 50 fields of study, ranking the five best master's degrees per field.
Of the seven master's degrees recognized this year, two are at the top of the list. First, the Master in Physical Therapy for Sports, which in 2017 had dropped off the top five list, broke through to the top spot in 2018 in the field of Health – Physical Therapy. This year, the newspaper highlighted the entities that collaborate on the academic degree, such as Real Madrid C.F., the Madrid and Spanish Swimming Federations, the Sports Council, and the Centro Médico y de Rehabilitación Premium Madrid.
Additionally, the Master in Building and Construction Management rose to number one (it was third in 2017) in the Urban Development – Construction and Building category. The report highlights the quality of this MBA specializing in engineering and construction, as well as the professionals from the business world who make up the faculty. Moreover, the MBA in Sports Organization Management also maintained a top position, in second place in the Business – Specialized category. Thus, this MBA designed in partnership with the Real Madrid–Universidad Europea Graduate School consolidates itself as one of the best academic programs for the third year in a row.
The Master in Advanced Oral Implantology and the Master in Information and Communication Technology Security, both of which made it onto last year's ranking, were ranked fifth in their respective fields. The former was in the Health – Dentistry category, and the latter, in the Computer Science – Software and Security category. New this year compared to 2017, Universidad Europea has managed to place two Master's degrees in the field of Communications in the top five: the Master in Audiovisual Content Creation was ranked fifth in the Audiovisuals category, and the Master in Sports Communication and Journalism came in fifth in the Specialized Information category.
