The Laureate International Universities network has awarded two of the four Wilson Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to two researchers from Universidad Europea. With the aim of recognizing and supporting excellence and innovation in of teachers at the network’s educational institutions, the 2018 edition recognized PhD in Computer Engineering and researcher Maite Villalba with a grant to fund her research proposal, which she presented together with Universidad Europea, on the Digital Transformation of Higher Education: an Assessment Framework for Improvement of Digital Skill. Additionally, Beatriz Gal, director of the Neuronal Circuit and Integration Research Group, was recognized along with Marta Lesmes for their work titled Assessment of the workstation-based model WSLA in academic performance in Health Sciences degrees: concurrent mixed study.
