Pilar Mateo and Jaime Olleros, new members of the Board of Advisors of the Universidad Europea de Valencia

29 nov 2016

The Board of Advisors of the Universidad Europea de Valencia has decided to appoint two new members: the Valencian scientist Pilar Mateo and the lawyer Jaime Olleros. These appointments took place during the Universidad Europea de Valencia Board of Advisors meeting on Tuesday November 29 in Valencia.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of the Universidad Europea de Valencia, Doctor José Remohí, and by Miguel Carmelo, president of the Universidad Europea and CEO of Laureate International Universities Europe. The Rector of the Universidad Europea de Valencia, Juan Morote Sarrión, highlighted the relevance of the new members’ career accomplishments, which align perfectly with the Universidad Europea’s commitment to surrounding itself with figures with a positive impact on society.

Also, the new Board members’ professional and personal links to Valencia will help to strengthen the connection between the Universidad Europea and its immediate environment, a key factor in ensuring that it provides an education which meets students’ real needs.

The scientist Pilar Mateo is a Doctor of Chemistry, president of Inesfly Corporation and founder of the Movimiento de Mujeres Indígenas del Mundo and of Mujer a Mujer by Pilar Mateo. She has dedicated her life to combating the endemic diseases transmitted as a consequence of poverty. Jaime Olleros, with degrees in Economics and Business Studies and in Law, is a specialist in Mercantile Law, M&A operations, and International Taxation.
