Lourdes Garzón: “What matters is a good story”

21 sep 2016

The editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair for Spain and Mexico, Lourdes Garzón, stated that “beyond the means and the format, what matters is a good story”, adding that “nobody knows what the path of digital transformation is, but everyone know where it ends”. The journalist spoke these words during the inauguration of the 2016/2017 academic year at Universidad Europea de Canarias, held today at the La Orotava Campus (Tenerife).

Lourdes Garzón spoke with the Universidad Europea Director of Communication for Spain and Portugal, José María Palomares, and added that “it’s a difficult time in digital transformation, that’s why we observe what other international media are doing”. However, she assured that the goal is “a brand that is relevant regardless of the means used to publish it”.

Garzón claimed that the success of this international magazine, published in Spain since 2008, is because “our journalists are able to create good news stories so that readers don’t feel let down; what they read can only be read in our magazine”.
