On Wednesday, February 15, the Universidad Europea de Valencia hosted a conference on the future of the European project, offered by José Manuel García-Margallo, former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of Spain and current President of the National Security Committee.
“The European project is the most relevant and significant thing EU citizens have achieved and it would be a real shame for our generation to bring it to an end”. Mr. García-Margallo spoke clearly at the conference held at the Ateneo Mercantil of Valencia, in collaboration with the Accredited Consular Corps of Valencia.
Universidad Europea de Valencia Rector Juan Morote said that José Manuel García-Margallo’s dissertation is part of the cycle of conferences the Universidad Europea de Valencia has scheduled to mark the 25th anniversary of signing the Maastricht Treaty. The next conference will see the Regional Minister for Finance and the Economic Model, Vicent Soler, explain how the Region of Valencia has experienced these 25 years of the European Union.
