Farewell to the students from Torrens University Australia

27 feb 2017

The students of the MBA in Sports Management from the Torrens University in Australia have met in person over the last few weeks with the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea

During this time they took part in several activities such as the visit to the facilities of the Spanish Golf Federation, where they learned about what golf is like in Spain and how this institution works. They also practised some golf and even became “baptised” in it (which means that they had a class where they learnt the basics movements and skills of golf).

They also went to the “City of Football” where many of the trophies and medals won by Spanish athletes throughout history are displayed.

The Zarzuela Hippodrome was another of their pit stops. They learned about horse racing in Spain and about the importance of a central venue for the horse riding world. That same day they visited the Real Madrid Sports City in Valdebebas. They also took a tour of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and even watched a match.

Torrens University students could also participate in one of the main events of the academic year: The White Week, where so many important professionals in the field went and they could learn a lot about them.

These are just a few of the activities that the students had the chance to do before celebrating their graduation from their study in Sports Venue Management and Operation on Friday. They received their diplomas from Emilio Butragueño, the school´s General.

The Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea, is present in 13 countries across America, Europe, Australia and Asia with different campuses and Schools, including Torrens University in Australia.

The course in Sports Venue Management and Operation is part of the Masters Degree in Sports Management that the students from the Australian university are studying. Thanks to this masters that the students are doing in this university which is part of the Laureate International Network, they have learned how to manage facilities which, thanks to their construction, require specific knowledge and abilities to be optimised.
