Daniel Fumero talks about his international experience in TV and film promotion

19 dec 2016

Designer, creator, photographer and graphics expert Daniel Fumero, co-founder of the Canary Islands company Limbo Kids alongside his wife, journalist and editor Vanesa Bocanegra, was on our campus to give an interesting talk to 2nd year Advertising Communication students (as part of the subject Media and Formats, taught by Enrique Carrasco).

In a very enjoyable presentation, Fumero described the progress of his company and his personal experience in the field of fine art, audiovisual editing and post-production, and other creative disciplines, and explained how “by passionately defending what you believe in, from start to finish, you can get the resources and contacts you need.”

Fumero asserted that a company in the Canary Islands can work for any client around the world, giving the example of the requests he receives from film companies in Malaysia (the creators of successful films such as “Interchange”) and other distant locations, such as American TV channel Fox, which commissioned some promotional animations from Limbo Kids.

Fumero works actively with production companies in Spain and abroad; in the Canary Islands he has developed several projects for Plató del Atlántico, including creative work and production for Lucas Fernández’ film “Óscar, una pasión surrealista”. Internationally, Daniel and Vanesa specialize in posters for genre films; the aesthetic of fantasy and science fiction is most in line with the talents of these unconventional artists, who also manage the prestigious website tumbaabierta.com.
