On Monday December 19, representatives of the Spanish Cancer Association, the Tenerife Association of Women with Breast Cancer and Pichón Trail Project met with the Rector of the Universidad Europea de Canarias, Cristiana Oliveira, and some of her academic staff to receive the money raised by Bachelor’s Degree students on World Breast Cancer Day and Thanksgiving Day, when funds were raised for microprojects to help people with multiple sclerosis.
Students at the University worked on these charity activities through service-learning.
The representatives of the associations thanked them for their work and said they hoped to participate in future joint actions with the University.
