The Universidad Europea de Canarias and Garachico Town Council have celebrated the second Week of Canary Island Architecture with an event held in the town on Monday, October 10. It focused on the architecture of the island landscape with various lectures and a round table on Architectural heritage, tourism and accessibility, moderated by the coordinator of the university’s School of Architecture Pablo De Souza.
The conferences were held at the Casa de Piedra art center and began with a speech by architect and director of the Teno Rural Park Abel Herrera, who discussed Rural architecture in the landscape. Another participant was architect Roque Hernández, who spoke about The building procedure: work process; a short film entitled Insular Inventories was screened, by Alejandro Krawietz, director of the Miradasdoc Film Festival.
