PH en happy climate was the title of the lecture offered by architect and our faculty member Jorge Heras in November at the annual event organized by the Passivhaus Building Platform (PEP in Spanish), a non-profit association that includes professionals, businesses and people with concerns and knowledge on energy efficiency in construction, comfort and construction quality.
The professor presented details of the first zero consumption home built in the Canary Islands, a home our students have visited on numerous occasions.
The main activity of the PEP is to spread the work on passive buildings as a solution to combine maximum levels of quality and comfort with minimum levels of energy demand.
The Annual Conference is this organization’s main event but it is combined with countless informative activities of all kinds (see web: www.plataforma‐pep.org).
