The Universidad Europea de Valencia School of Architecture is working to improve architectural heritage management

21 jun 2016

Up to 60 unused buildings were put on the map by students of the Architecture Degree Program at Universidad Europea de Valencia as part of the Integration Workshop course, which aims to: work on the integration between the institution, cultural management and the public.

Last Wednesday, June 15, saw the inauguration of the “VLC co-production spaces” exhibition, which displays knowledge maps on new models of managing spaces such as the Campo de la Cebada plot and La Tabacalera in Madrid, Can Battló in Barcelona, or the Fábrica de Hielo in Valencia.

There was also a round table discussion on how to articulate management processes that enable us to activate unused architectural heritage. The debate was attended by Eva Caro, Head of Cultural Action Services at Valencia City Council; Mijo Miquel, expert in urban art and cultural manager; and Francisco Pallardó, attorney and member of the legal group of the network Arquitecturas Colectivas. The debate was moderated by Inés García Clariana, professor at the Universidad Europea de Valencia.
