Universidad Europea de Valencia presents the Autonomous Community of Valencia's Employability Barometer

06 may 2016

The social sciences research team of Universidad Europea de Valencia, led by director of Graduate Studies Rosa Sanchidrian and professors Agustín Peral and Roberto Gómez, in collaboration with the job search website Infojobs and the temporary work company Corvan, have created the Community of Valencia Employability Barometer, a vital tool for understanding changes in the job market and finding out which profiles are most in-demand among Valencian companies.

After evaluating over 41,000 job offers published on Infojobs in the period from 2013-2015, and with the qualitative assistance of Corvan, the Barometer indicates that the most in-demand profiles are professionals in commercial and sales roles. Additionally, new profiles have arisen with a high level of knowledge and experience in the field of technology (programmers and even designers with a mastery of specific tools).

Furthermore, companies are looking for leaders who know how to manage teams and who are capable of analytical thought and creativity and who look for new solutions to problems. These are some of the cross-disciplinary skills that companies look for in new employees, according to the Barometer.
