Emilio Butragueño, director of the Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea, officially opened the School’s new academic year in November, in a ceremony in the VIP box of Santiago Bernabéu stadium. This is the eleventh year since the University and Real Madrid founded the School in 2006.
During the event, Emilio Butragueño addressed the students with this message: “You are going to get excellent training, you will become much more competitive, but when you graduate in a few months we also want you to feel that this School has done a lot to help you grow as people.” Butragueño encouraged the students to “think big, always give 100% and believe in yourselves.”
In his speech, Butragueño emphasized that “this School is an example of entrepreneurship, it began eleven years ago and so far has trained over 8,000 students of more than 40 nationalities and is present in over 12 countries.”
The Real Madrid Graduate School - Universidad Europea operates in 13 countries. The solidity of this project is attested by over 8,000 alumni who have studied here since it was opened. One of them, Carlos Pérez, spoke at the opening ceremony to assure students that “today is the starting pistol, and you have a race ahead of you, in which every fraction of a second is important and you will sweat over every stride.”
