High participation in the Youth & Jobs Employability and Entrepreneurship Forum

06 may 2016

This Wednesday, May 4Universidad Europea de Valencia held the “Youth & Jobs” Employability and Entrepreneurship Forum, a space for debate and exchanging knowledge on the effects of the so-called fourth industrial revolution on productive sectors.

The main conclusion that the speakers reached was that a university education is the main guarantee for being able to successfully enter the job market in the Valencian business environment. Additionally, university graduates are the only group whose net employment has increased, even during this period of economic crisis. New technologies, leadership, and an international perspective are some of the skills that Valencian companies look for, according to the speakers.

The forum included the participation of Francisco Álvarez, Director General of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Cooperation, José Enrique Fernández, rector of the Universidad Europea de Valencia, Isabel Cosme, president of the Business Federation of Valencia, José Manuel Pastor, dean of the Universitat de València and researcher at the Valencian Institute of Economic Research, and José Remohí, president of the Valencian Infertility Institute and president of the Advisory Council of the Universidad Europea de Valencia.
