The Real Madrid Graduate School has signed a collaboration agreement with the Rafa Nadal Academy

17 may 2017

The Rafa Nadal Academy, is one of the most prestigious sports entities at a national level. They have recently signed an agreement with the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea in order for the students from Training and Sports Nutrition to be able to do work experience at the academy.

The Academy is based in Rafa Nadal’s home town, Mallorca, where this famous tennis player was first trained. They have a personal training system that is based on the experience accumulated by Rafa and his technical team over the years, and includes some values that have been key for Nadal to reach his professional objectives.

The team is formed by a group of experienced coaches, directed by Toni Nadal, who is Rafa’s coach, and other professionals that have accompanied Nadal on his professional care The Academy focuses on various aspects of the sports world; physical preparation, mind health and nutrition. There are nutrition plans that are based on different templates depending on the stages, and in order to implement them it is important to work as a team (coaches, physical therapists, physio therapists, psychologists and doctors).

The work experience from the Master’s Degree in Training and Sports Nutrition are held in different clubs, clinics, gyms…with the aim of applying the acquired knowledge and to be able to find solutions to real-world issues in the professional world. It also helps acquire new knowledge and face challenges like being able to make judgments from the information provided, including reflections of the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge in the real world.

During their work experience, the students are supervised by a project tutor and by a work experience coordinator who will follow up on the development of the student for the duration of the work experience and offer feedback to the student in order to help them improve where they may need it.

This collaboration is a great opportunity for the students from the Training and Sports Nutrition Master’s Degree, as they are able to learn from some of the top professionals in the sports world, and it’s also a huge privilege for the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea.
