Frequently Asked Questions

Trade, or the buying and selling of goods and services, benefits everyone (buyers and sellers) and if this trade also extends globally, the advantages are further enhanced. According to the Ricardian model, each country should specialise in the production and export of those goods where it has a comparative advantage over other countries.

The internationalisation of companies means they are better able to use their resources, opening up to new markets at a global level.

An expert in international trade might advise companies on how to internationalise, designing a plan for international expansion, including a marketing and communication plan, that is based on the resources available and on others that can be obtained through government aid or through the financial markets.

Designing a good international business plan is key for a company seeking to increase its profits by attracting customers in new markets in other countries.

You study the management skills that are needed for understanding and analysing the international economic environment. Furthermore, you develop the design skills you need to be able to develop an international business plan that enables companies to efficiently leverage their resources and expand their markets globally, while at the same time respecting the environment and in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Universidad Europea de Madrid’s Master's Degree in International Trade and Economic Relations offers an extremely comprehensive course syllabus, one that covers all the key areas that are essential for the training of future professionals in the field of foreign trade and international economics, and that is taught by professors who are experts in internationalisation. The methodology used in class, which is fundamentally practical and participatory, allowing students to learn by doing, should also be highlighted.
